Moving services connected to a retiring Weebly account

development

A retiring Weebly account can be connected to services that continue independently, including domain registration, email, payments, booking tools and analytics. Inventory those connections so a website move does not accidentally cancel something the business still needs.

01 Review each dependency

  1. List the domain registrar, DNS provider, mailbox service, payment processor, analytics account, form destinations and embedded business tools. Record the owner and renewal route for each.
  2. Confirm whether each service is billed through Weebly, Nabtech or another provider. Use account records and current invoices rather than relying on the website's appearance.
  3. Check who can administer the domain and DNS. Preserve existing mail and verification records when planning the new website connection.
  4. Review payment and booking integrations for allowed website addresses, return URLs and notifications. Test the replacement integration before taking new customer transactions.
  5. Move analytics and search-verification settings through their supported account controls. Confirm that the new website sends data to the intended business-owned property.
  6. Review embedded apps and media licences. A copied page does not establish that an app subscription or asset licence transfers to another platform.
  7. After the replacement works, cancel only the services explicitly marked for retirement. Retain required financial and customer records under the business's retention policy.

Common questions

Will exporting the website transfer the domain?

No. Website content and domain registration are separate. Confirm the registrar and follow the applicable domain-management process.

Should I cancel all Weebly-related invoices?

First identify what each line item provides and the effect of cancellation. A domain or connected service may still be needed after the builder is retired.

Who should coordinate a dependency shared by several providers?

Assign one business owner to keep the inventory and change schedule. Give each support team the precise service, required action and evidence without sharing unrelated account credentials.
