Connecting an authorised analytics account to marketgoo

performance

Connect only an authorised analytics account for the website being optimised. The connection lets marketgoo display available analytics information; it does not install website tracking automatically or grant permission to access another business's data.

01 Connect and verify

  1. Confirm the correct active Google Analytics property and that its website data is being collected. Current setups should use Google Analytics 4 rather than a retired Universal Analytics property.
  2. Have an authorised account holder open marketgoo's Settings > Connections, or the connection option under Your Site Traffic.
  3. Select the Google Analytics connection and sign in to the intended Google account. Review the requested access before authorising it.
  4. Select or confirm the property corresponding to this website where the integration provides that choice. If the expected property is unavailable, check permissions and the integration's current support before proceeding.
  5. Compare the displayed period and figures with Analytics. Note time-zone, processing and reporting differences before concluding the connection is wrong.
  6. Document the account owner and review the connection during staff changes or service cancellation.

Common questions

Why does the site show no traffic after connection?

Check whether the correct property collects current data, whether consent settings permit the expected measurement and whether sufficient processing time has passed. Connecting an empty property cannot create historical visits.

Can I use my developer's personal analytics account?

Keep business ownership and appropriate delegated access. A project should remain manageable when a contractor leaves.

How do I change the connected account?

Use the connection's disable or disconnect control, then connect the intended authorised account. Verify the property again and review the old account's third-party permissions as part of the handover.
