Changing the Virtualizor VNC password

The VNC password protects a console connection where the service exposes a separate VNC credential. It is not the same as the panel password or the operating-system login shown inside the console.

Prepare for the change

Confirm that your VPS and panel version expose this option. Keep a secure recovery route and record any legitimate console client that will need the new credential. Use the password rules displayed by the panel because VNC implementations can have different limits.

01 Change the Virtualizor VNC password

  1. Open List VPS > Manage for the intended VPS.
  2. Choose Settings > VNC Password or the matching console-password control in your theme.
  3. Enter a new unique value meeting the displayed requirements and select the change action. Store it securely rather than in a plain-text note shared with others.
  4. Read the response for any restart requirement. Schedule an orderly restart or stop/start if the platform requires it, keeping the existing working access available until then.
  5. Open a fresh authorized console connection and test the new credential. Update approved external console clients and close obsolete sessions.

How do I confirm the new VNC password works?

Confirm the console connects and then separately authenticate to the operating system. A browser console launched through an authenticated panel may use a token or automatically supplied connection details, so it may not prompt you for the VNC password directly.

If the change does not work

If the console remains inaccessible, inspect the task result, VPS power state and browser connectivity before changing the guest password. Do not publish raw VNC ports or disable TLS to work around a failed connection. Ask support to confirm the correct console method if the password option is absent.
