Your SolusVM password protects the account that can operate VPS controls. Changing it does not automatically change guest root passwords, Windows Administrator credentials, SSH keys or a separately managed Nabtech client-area login.

Prepare for the change
Check that account recovery information is current and prepare a strong unique password. Keep the current session open until you have verified the new login. If you suspect compromise, plan to review other access methods as well.
01 Change your SolusVM control-panel password
- Open the verified panel and access your profile or account settings.
- Choose the account password-change option. In a legacy SolusVM 1 interface this appears under My Account > Change Account Password; current profile layouts may differ.
- Enter the current credential if requested, then enter and confirm the new password. Store it in a password manager and avoid reusing a VPS or email password.
- Save and wait for the confirmation. Test a fresh panel login in a separate session before closing the original one.
- Review two-factor authentication and any API access or project membership relevant to your account. Update authorized integrations only when they actually use the changed credential.
How do I test the new panel password?
Confirm the new password opens the expected projects and VPS list. Verify the separate guest login only if you intentionally changed that different password. A valid SSH key may continue to work regardless of the panel password change.
If the change does not work
If the old password is unknown, use the account recovery route or support verification rather than resetting the operating system. If the new login fails, check the email identity, keyboard layout and saved-password entry. Rotate promptly after suspected exposure; do not rely on an arbitrary calendar interval as the only reason to review account security.
