Adding a Nabtech mailbox to Apple Mail on iPhone or iPad

Add an existing hosting mailbox to Apple Mail so the phone can send and receive using your business address. Creating the account on the phone does not create the mailbox on the server. Use the mailbox password and connection details supplied for that service.

Check access and requirements

Use the mailbox that belongs to the hosting or email service you intend to manage. Keep access to webmail for comparison, and preserve any local-only drafts or messages before changing an account configuration. Labels can differ slightly between supported app versions.

01 Add a Nabtech mailbox to Apple Mail on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts > Add Account. Enter your email address. For a hosting mailbox, follow Add Other Account > Mail Account when automatic discovery does not choose the correct provider.
  2. Enter your display name, complete email address, mailbox password and a recognisable account description. Continue to manual configuration if required.
  3. Choose IMAP for synchronised folders. Enter the exact incoming and outgoing hostnames shown in your mailbox connection settings. Use the full email address as the username for both servers.
  4. Use the secure ports and encryption mode provided for your account, commonly IMAP 993 with SSL/TLS and SMTP 465 with SSL/TLS or 587 with STARTTLS. Complete verification and save the account.

Test sending and receiving

Send a small test message to a separate mailbox and reply to it. Confirm both messages appear in the correct Inbox and Sent folders, including in webmail. Check the From address if you have several accounts on the device.

Resolve setup problems

A certificate warning can mean the hostname, certificate or device clock is wrong. Stop and correct the connection details; do not bypass the warning. If sign-in fails, test the same mailbox in webmail before resetting anything.

A common question

Should I choose Google or Microsoft for every business address?

Choose the provider that actually hosts that mailbox. A cPanel mailbox is not a Google Workspace account simply because you also use Gmail. Use the relevant product instructions for Google, Zoho or OX services.
