Change nameservers in GoDaddy's Domain Portfolio when you want your domain's DNS to be managed by the assigned Nabtech service. Prepare the new zone first so the website and email have complete records when public delegation changes.

01 Prepare for the switch
Copy the exact Nabtech nameserver hostnames from the relevant service details. Save the current GoDaddy DNS records, including external mail and verification entries, and build the destination zone. Review DNSSEC if a DS record exists at the parent.
If you only need to point the website to us while retaining GoDaddy DNS, a specific A, AAAA or CNAME update may be the appropriate task. Choose the nameserver change only when moving authoritative DNS.
02 Update GoDaddy
- Sign in to your Domain Portfolio.
- Select the domain to open its settings.
- Open DNS, then Nameservers.
- Choose I'll use my own nameservers and enter the complete assigned list.
- Select Save, then Continue.
- Complete any identity verification requested by GoDaddy's protection settings.
Enter nameserver hostnames without a URL scheme. Check every value before confirming and do not share verification codes with anyone who unexpectedly contacts you.
03 Confirm public DNS
Reopen the registrar settings and check the saved delegation. Query the new authorities and use the Nabtech propagation checks to distinguish current authoritative records from cached responses.
Test the apex domain, www, key subdomains and mail delivery. Keep the old service available through the planned transition. A successful nameserver save is not proof that all resolvers have refreshed.
What should I check if only one service fails after changing GoDaddy nameservers?
If the domain returns SERVFAIL, check the signing chain and parent DS. If the website points correctly but mail fails, compare MX and email-authentication records with the mail provider's current setup.
After the switch, record changes made only in the former GoDaddy zone will not affect the active Nabtech zone. Edit the authoritative provider's zone instead.
If GoDaddy refuses the nameserver update, follow its exact validation or account-security message. We can help verify the assigned destination, while registrar account restrictions must be resolved with the registrar.
